Miles & Associates, Inc. an independently owned retirement plan consulting and administrative firm founded in 1984 by current President, Michael W. Miles specializes in designing and maintaining retirement plans customized to our clients’ needs.  We are housed in a 20,000 square foot office facility built specifically for our operation. Our 20 employees service 700 customers from our single location in Charlotte, NC. In our pursuit of these goals we depend on each member of our staff to strive for excellence.  We recognize that customer satisfaction relies upon employee knowledge and satisfaction.  Our technical staff participates in industry education programs and weekly supplemental training while the entire staff attends internal training on topics that vary from those designed to improve customer service to others that target improving teamwork and employee morale.  Seventy-seven percent of our technical staff has at least one designation bestowed by ASPPA, while the rest are pursuing such designations. ASPPA—the American Society of Pension Professionals & Actuaries—is the premier national organization for career retirement plan professionals. ASPPA’s membership, comprised of the many disciplines supporting retirement income management and benefits policy, represents the most committed individuals of the profession—those who have made a career of retirement plan and pension policy work

In addition to the industry designations listed above, our staff can be characterized by another trait; longevity.  The tenure of our current staff averages over ten years.  This continuity provides our clients not only with a contact familiar with their company and their current needs, but one who can recognize a client whose situation is changing and the impact of these changes on their current plan design.
